Return to Monkey Island Game Review

The Return To Monkey Island is an unexpected and thrilling return for series producer Ron Gilbert that continues the story of the legendary adventure game The Secret of Monkey Island as well as Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge created in partnership with Lucasfilm Games.

Guybrush Threepwood has been a longer time since he last fighting an intellectual war against LeChuck, his Zombies pirate foe. Guybrush’s true love, Elaine Marley, has turned her focus away from governing and Guybrush himself has become lost and unhappy, never having found that Secret of Monkey Island. Young, hip pirate leaders, led by Captain Madison are removing the older guard. Melee Island is now in turmoil and Stan an entrepreneur who is well-known is sentenced to prison for “marketing-related infractions”.

Banter with old friends and new ones on the familiar islands that are with a brand new, dangerous leader. Next, set sail on high seas to discover the unexplored and unfamiliar when you make your way through difficult situations. Guybrush is a mix of clever puzzles as well as bizarre challenges. Guybrush will be able be a star through his imaginative ripostes.
